At the beginning of October, a group of students from Poland ( J. Kochanowski Schools in Witkowice), Germany (Graf-Soden-Realschule in Friedrichshafen) and Belarus (School No 16 in Połock) came to International Youth Meeting Place to talk about their and neighboring countries, intercultural communication and tolerance. Mr. Werner Dietsche, German and English teacher from school in Friedrichshafen, tells about the impression which was made on teachers and students by this tripartite meeting.

"Our school exchange with Polish youth has been lasting for 12 years. Our cooperation with school from Ukraine has been developing for 14 years. Yet, I have to say that this year meeting in Krzyżowa is really special because it is a first time when all three cooperating schools are meeting at the same time. This is truly fascinating. Young people have chance to talk about tolerance and intercultural education in different languages. Thanks to this, they broaden their horizons and they explore opinions on different subjects of their peers from other countries. They usually do not have such opportunity in their hometowns and schools. Also through such choice of topics we noticed that all students explore profoundly and learn toleration to other cultures and countries from which their partners come. Tripartite meeting is a very interesting experience for them. They are delighted with the atmosphere in Krzyżowa, friendships have been established, everyone feels great, even so far away from home. Interesting is the fact that during common work and ideas exchanges every participant speaks very openly about various issues. Students get better look at the neighboring countries and at each other. You can feel here that any prejudice to other nations suddenly disappeared. And that is all about!"
