Lower Silesian Political and Economic Forum will be held in Krzyżowa once again. Thirteenth meeting of politicians, local governments and all interested will be organized under the patronage of Polish Presidency in Council of European Union in the year 2011 and motto of this year meetings is “Lower Silesia on the map of Europe”.
Their participation in deliberations of forum have announced among others prof. Jerzy Hausner, member of Monetary Policy Council, prof. Witold Orłowski, Director of Warsaw Technical University’s Business School, Lidia Geringer d'Oedenberg- Member of European Parliament and Andrij Wesołowski from Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

During this year Forum, we will especially focus on European achievements in strategic thinking. We will discuss role of regions in shaping the future of European Union. Referents will concentrate on actions for Lower Silesia and methods to increase its competitiveness. The other subject of meeting will be origin of European Union and the Solidarity, which contributed to collapse of Soviet bloc and unification of Germany and Europe, giving at the same time a beginning of optimistic way of creating European future. During numerous discussions in groups, participants will also discuss economic topics. An important event of this year Forum will be awarding Lower Silesian Economic prize under the patronage of Polish and German Ministers of Economy- Waldemar Pawlak and Philipp Rősler.
