Spirit of Krzyżowa has visited Municpial Culture Centre in Długołęka. Since the middle of October people from there region can visit the exhibition “ Rejecting lies. History of anti- totalitarian resistance and opposition in XXth century.” It is a copy of permanent exhibition from Palace in Krzyżowa and this is the second time it is being shown in Poland. It can be visited till 8th November, 2011. In relation to the exhibition, on 21st October a meeting in Dlugoleka was held. Around 40 people – the majority of which was involved in Senior Club- attended the meeting. Among the guests there were members of Dlugoleka Muncipial Council- Ms Barbara Sulek and Mr Stanislaw Azarewicz."Thanks to Ms Michalina Golinczak – living in Dlugoleka, working in Berlin Association Kreisau-Initiative ( a partner of Krzyzowa Foundation) and these both institutions we could organize the exhibition in our centre. It is very important for us to bring closer the topics of resistance and themes promoted by Krzyzowa Foundation to our inhabitants" – highlights Ms Izabela Trojanowska, director of Muncipial Culture Centre, who opened the exhibition and introduced the guests to the topics presented in this exhibition and circumstances connected with its organization. Annemarie Franke, a manager of "Krzyżowa" Foundation for Mutual Understanding in Europe, presented the mission of the Foundation and talked about the history of Circle from Krzyżowa, highlighting the part of James von Moltke – foundator of this organization. During the presentation guests could see a film about the current actions of Foundation and a documentary about the history of von Moltke family. There was also time for visiting the exhibition and discussions with special guests like Ms Jolanta Popinska PhD of Wroclaw Uniwersity and the witnesses of those times singing patriot songs from resistance movement.
