The library is available to all youth groups staying at the centre. Individual persons are asked for prior contact.
The library is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Subjects of the collection: history (of Poland, Germany, other countries), Polish-German relations, national socialism in Germany, resistance movements in Europe (generally), resistance movements in the Third Reich, opposition against Communism in Central and Eastern Europe, the Historic Sites, national minorities, human rights, European Union, philosophy, sociology
Library: around 3500 tomes
Press: Der Spiegel, Tygodnik Powszechny, Rzeczpospolita, Christ in der Gegenwarts CD-ROMs, VHS cassettes
Special Collection : Somizdat press in Poland ‘Bibuła’; 540 tomes inherited from Beate Ruhm von Oppen, concerning mainly the resistance movement in Germany and the history of Church (see: systematics)
Using the library: The collection is arranged according to a systematic key and is available through MAK catalogue. To make search easier the collection will be arranged according to keywords.
Renting books is not possible. The reading room and a photocopier are available on the spot.
