Spend your summer in Krzyżowa – engage with local history through deepening your knowledge and becoming active in shaping a peaceful future. Polish-German workcamp „Exploring Krzyżowa and Lower Silesia“ takes part this summer at Krzyżowa in Poland.
Work together, connect with international people, get to know another language, explore the place and history of Krzyżowa and Lower Silesia, discuss current topics together – all this will be part of the German-Polish workcamp from August, 22th to August, 28th 2022 in Krzyżowa. Krzyżowa is a beautiful village in Lower Silesia, near the Owl Mountains. Located 60 km south from Wrocław (Breslau).
This place is an important place in the history of and the relation between the two countries. Here, a german resistance group, the Kreisau Circle, met to develop plans against the fascist regime of Nazi Germany. And later in time, the significant event of the Polish-German Reconciliation Mass took place in Krzyżowa.
We would like to invite young people aged 15-22 to Krzyżowa for Polish-German-French summer youth exchange "Human, you have rights!" with artistic accent and the theme of human rights.
Date: 6-16.08.2022 (10 days)
Cost of participation: 800 PLN
Trilateral youth exchange aims to meet peers from three countries (Poland, Germany, France) and spend time together during the vacations. The exchange program includes elements of non-formal education and art.
The language of the meeting is Polish, with elements of English and translation to German and French.
Our activities aim to support social and language competences among participants, and all this in the spirit of cooperation and respect for human rights. Classes will be taught by an international team of educators with experience in humanistic and non-formal education.
If you want to find out what is happening with your peers from Germany and France, what happened to them during the pandemic, how they dealt with it, and at the same time polish your English, this meeting is for you!
