The Krzyżowa Foundation for Mutual Understanding in Europe invites teachers from Wrocław to a seminar on the tool of anti-discrimination education "Stories that Move". The seminar will be held as part of the Johanneum Novum project on 31st August 2021 from 9.30 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. in the outbuilding at 81 Romualda Traugutta Street in Wrocław.

Stories that Move is an online platform with a set of interactive tools for education against discrimination in the form of multilingual hybrid teaching materials (www.storiesthatmove.org).

During the seminar, participants will be presented with the tool and how to use it in class while working with students, as well as the pedagogical approach and methods supporting teachers in conversations on difficult topics related to discrimination.

Join the Youth Forum! Share your ideas in a workshop on planning the future of Europe and develop them in a creative media workshop. At the end of the Forum - during the European Ministerial Conference in Chemnitz - you will have a unique opportunity to present your ideas to high-ranking politicians and politicians, and thus to participate directly in the political debate.

On 6-10 September 2021, together with other young people from Poland and Germany, you can discuss the most important challenges that, in your opinion, Europe is facing, meet interesting people and together with them formulate postulates for the world of politics. And all in line with our motto: "Europe calling - your voice, your future!

Local History goes into the second round - And this time it's global!

Let's bring local history to Instagram! Sounds cool, right? But two exciting topics are joining hands here:

  • On the first hand, historical-political education and media literacy can no longer be considered separately, and the internet, especially in the time of the Pandemic, has become an educational site. The social network Instagram has now increasingly become a place for historical-political education as well, and numerous museums and educational institutions are now represented there. It appeals to us, on the occasion of the current debates about participation and democracy, to turn to Instagram with a project and to explore the new opportunities that the media offers for serious historical-political educational work.

Kind invitation to the 18th East-West European Memorial Meeting in Krzyżowa. This year the meeting will take place as an online event, the topic is "The virtual remembrance - Memorial work and digital media".
