Krzyżowa is a place of encounter and dialogue, alive through ideas and activities of the various people meeting there – those words of the Foundations concept are what we experience every day.

Krzyżowa as a meeting place lives because of its partners, guests and volontary workers that cooperate, visit and inspire us. Our activities go further than the village of Kreisau. We are internationally linked with people and organizations and realize projects together.

We are pleased to inform that Association of Krzyżowa Friends has been founded in Warsaw. Anna Michalak-Pawłowska, a member of a Board of Supervisors of "Krzyżowa" Foundation for Mutual Understanding in Europe, is a founder and initiator of the Association.
Members of the Association of Krzyżowa Friends are graduates of the project “ International Artistic Summer”, which has been organized in Krzyżowa since year 1997. The main aim of Association is supporting artistic actions during next projects in Krzyżowa.

The Association of the Friends of Krzyżowa became into being in the beginning of the ninetees to support the meeting centres work. It wants to contribute to peace, understanding and encounter of people with different experinces and backgrounds to reduce antagonism and enmity amongst different nations. A special emphasis is put on nations considered as enemies with a history of mutual conflicts such as poles and germans or poles and lemkowians (an east-slavic ethnic group).

Therefore, the association visits schools, organises extracurricular meetings, journeys to Krzyżowa and talks on political questions and projects in cooperation with the Krzyżowa Foundation (like the ceremonis in honor of the 100th birthday of Helmuth James von Moltke in Wrocław). There is a representative of the association in the Foundations council.
